The Academy cometh...

October 20th will be here all too soon and I'll be in the Academy 5 of the 7 days of the week.

This means that stupid stories (while few and far between these last few days) will be no more unless I'm making fun of fellow law enforcement (not really my thing though).

Anyway I believe my apartment complex has started to catch on to my profession (only took em 3 months). I used to get stares of "oooooooo why is he here??? Is he busting someone??" but now I get stares of "Can't do shit around here cause the fuzz lives nearby."

This is both good and bad for a multitude of reasons, but yesterday I told a lady to turn her stereo down (Full Uni) because it was violating the noise ordinance. She gives me one of those lovely "F*ck you" looks and says "okay." Now I know full well that this lady will go and blow this story out of proportion with a "this asshole cop screamed at me 'hey bitch turn your music down or I'll arrest you!'"

I'm jealous of firefighters, you see a firefighter wearing his local union shirt and even a "thug-gangsta" will walk up and say "thanks yo!" Meanwhile, if we're in civilian clothes we're wondering who just recognized us and do they have a gun?" Poop.
